Ideal weekday
My ideal weekday schedule would be waking up at 5am, read morning inspirations, do some housework, cook for lunch &/or dinner, have breakfast,

get myself & Beloved Other Half ready to work, drop him at campus. By 9.30 I should be at the workshop, clean it up a little, open at 10am, work, play with fabrics, calculate, make pattern, have lunch at noon, cut, sew, sew, and work etc.

At 6pm close shop, pick up Beloved Other Half, reheat dinner and have dinner before dawn, freshen up and daily date. I should be in bed by 11pm.

If we use it here in our part of the hemisphere, with the help from the suns heat, the flowers will be blooming mostly all year round!

23rd of January 2003
23rd January was our 5th wedding anniversary.
I was more nervous than excited the whole day. I had the feeling that beloved other half was going to surprise me.
This husband of mine, when he throws a surprise, he will go all out. Not the shower with chocolates or roses and the so called romantic candle light dinner kind but the stopping the car suddenly, running to the fields/towards a tree, singing and dancing his heart out kind. Not caring a single moment whether some people might consider him as an escapee from a mental hospital. I suppose it’s due to his little bit of Hindi genes.
My worries were justified in the evening. I told him I was too tired to go out for dinner so he went out to buy. He then called and asked me to go to the balcony; I thought he must have forgotten his car keys again and wanted me to throw it down from there. But Lo and Behold, there was a sea of students and friends holding candles in the courtyard underneath.
Oh my God!!
He pronounced a short vocalization of love. And the students started singing Ruth Sahanaya’s Kau lah Segalanya (You are everything)
--
I would like to thank everybody who helped Beloved Other Half and made that breathtaking 10 minutes happen.
You know who you are.

from our little shop in changloon
Beloved Other Half and I are turning another new chapter in our life. We have decided to rent a shop and run our little business from there. This might come as a little surprise to some of you who would have pictured me working on my PhD. But I am indeed notorious for my history of inconsistency.
We’ve planned to open on the 1st of January but didn’t realize that it would take at least 2 weeks to register and install the electricity. Lesson learned. Hopefully, insha Allah by this week the final set up will be completed and I will start working from our little shop in Changloon.
